Seeking bike trip buddy

I am planning to do a bike trip in Taiwan in 2010. Apart from the company, I have little knowledge of fixing a bike so ideally my buddy can help with that. I'm a tarmac rider and I'm thinking of exploring the place on bike rather than trekking and mountain biking.
