It's a tad quiet in here but Bangkok does have some marvellous restaurants and I'm wondering whether there are enough interested readers to form a monthly dinner club. Post below if you're keen.
actually i am looking for a modern " Imageris " not farang frequented place. May not be really a restaurant, but as you I am here for 10 years and I know many of the good thai and itnernational food restaurants. just looking for a music & snack place, without foreigners. Imageris was cool at the time. Even taurus - more though a discotheque was nice ... but nowadays it seems to go high high end or medium build for farangs or low end for the down to earth thais (see nawamin). just curious on sam's opinion.
U seem more interested in ambiance and setting.I however focus on the food.Example for best nortern chines I recommend this tiny cheap, yet excellent place on soi 40 sukhuvit.Name is Dallian
it is hidden on the first right turn on to the soi.excellent dumplings, lamb, and tofu dishes. The best scallion pancakes in BKK.
well the good food does not come in nice restaurants. i know where to find good food. that said, i am not much interested in cn ... though thanks for the tip.
